This Event has proved to be one of the most popular events at Ride The West. Every year BCHWa improves the course and difficulty, resulting in some wild rides and some top performances by some incredible horses & riders. This year we will be able to add more difficulty and variety to our flat course because we have the natural terrain of trees and hills to utilize in the planning of the course. The Xtreme Trail Event is really exciting to us because anyone can participate!!! You need a good horse and you need to know how to ride!! The trail course is constructed on site. Our Challenge has similar rules to an AQHA trail competition, with over $1500 in cash and prizes and a championship buckel sponsored by Will Rogers Saddlery. The Open division includes anyone 18 and over, any breed of horse or mule. There will be a $50 entry fee, and 1/2 price day tickets and corral fees if you stay over on a first come first served basis.

The Youth Division is 17 and under competing for cash & Prizes. If you enter the Youth Division, you CANNOT be entered in the Open Division. Youth Entry fee is $25, 1/2 price day tickets and any corral fees. Youth Division will begin at 11:00 AM on Sunday the 24th, after the walkthrough with the judge at 10:00 AM Sharp. There will be one Open Division and everyone is competing for the top placings. No seperate round, no finals. Open Division Walk-thru with the judges will be at 1:00 pm with a Bridle-less Exhibition Ride by JoLinn Hoover and her horse "Another Legacy" at 1:45pm. Open Division begins at 2:00 pm. Awards Ceremony will take place on the Flat Course of the XTreme Trail course at approximately 4:45 pm.
